Clement Attlee was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1945 to 1951.

He was a member of the Labour Party and served as leader from 1935 to 1955.

He introduced a range of welfare reforms, including the National Health Service, and initiated the process of decolonization.

Attlee was born in Putney, London in 1883. He attended Oxford University and was called to the bar in 1905.

Attlee's political career began in 1919 when he was elected to the House of Commons.

He became Deputy Leader of the Labour Party in 1930 and Leader in 1935, a position he held until 1955.
