Frederick North, Lord North, was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1770 to 1782.

Lord North was born in 1732 and graduated from Oxford in 1751.

He was a member of the British Parliament from 1754 to 1790, and served as Chancellor of the Exchequer from 1767 to 1770.

During his tenure as Prime Minister, Lord North was known for his support of the American colonies, including the implementation of the Stamp Act.

He was also a key figure in the British defeat during the American Revolutionary War.

Lord North resigned from office in 1782 following the defeat of the British forces in the war.

After his resignation, he was succeeded by William Pitt the Younger as Prime Minister.
