George Hamilton-Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen, was a British Prime Minister from 1852 to 1855.

He was a member of the Conservative Party and held many prominent positions from 1835 to 1845.

He was Foreign Secretary from 1841 to 1846, and Prime Minister from 1852 to 1855.

He was a political conservative, believing in a strong monarchy and a limited role for Parliament.

He was responsible for initiating the Reform Act of 1853, which extended voting rights to more of the working class.

He was also responsible for the Crimean War, a conflict between the Russian Empire and an alliance of the British, French, and Ottoman Empires.

His government was weak and was eventually replaced by the Liberal Party in 1855.
