Henry Addington served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1801 to 1804.

He was a close ally of the Duke of Portland, who was the Prime Minister before Addington.

He was a member of the Tory Party and was an advocate of peace and stability in Europe.

He was instrumental in negotiating the Treaty of Amiens in 1802, which brought an end to the Napoleon's War with Britain.

He was a strong supporter of the Union of Great Britain and Ireland and helped to pass the Act of Union in 1801.

He was also responsible for the passage of the Militia Act of 1802, which aimed to strengthen the army.

He resigned in 1804 due to a lack of support from his party and was succeeded by William Pitt the Younger.
