Sir Alec Douglas Home was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1963 to 1964.

He was born in 1903 in Berwickshire, Scotland.

He was the 14th Earl of Home but renounced his peerage to become a Member of Parliament in 1951.

He served in the Conservative administrations of Winston Churchill, Anthony Eden, Harold Macmillan and Sir Alec Douglas-Home.

He was Foreign Secretary from 1960 to 1963 and Leader of the Conservative Party from 1960 to 1965.

He is noted for his successful diplomatic mission to Moscow in 1964 to sign the test ban treaty.

He was the first British Prime Minister to be born in the 20th century.
