Sir Robert Peel was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1834 to 1835 and then again from 1841 to 1846.

He was a British Conservative statesman and served as Home Secretary from 1822 to 1827 and 1830 to 1834.

He introduced a number of important legislative reforms, such as introducing the modern police force in England and Wales.

He also passed the Corn Laws, which were intended to lower the price of bread and encourage the production of corn in England and Wales.

Peel also established the Bank Charter Act of 1844, which reformed the banking system in the UK.

Peel was known for his strong stance against slavery, and in 1833 he proposed a bill in Parliament to abolish slavery in the British Empire.

Peel was also a proponent of free trade and helped to pass the Great Reform Act of 1832, which sought to enfranchise more people in the UK.
