Andrew Jackson was the seventh President of the United States and served from 1829 to 1837.

He was a war hero and was known for his strong personality, sometimes referred to as the "People's President".

Before becoming President, he served in the House of Representatives and the Senate, and was a major general in the War of 1812.

He was the first President to come from the area west of the Appalachians, and he strongly advocated for the rights of the common man.

During his Presidency, he pushed for an expansion of the federal government and the protection of Native American rights.

He also enacted the Indian Removal Act in 1830, which forcibly relocated thousands of Native Americans from their ancestral lands to the West.

He was influential in the creation of the Democratic Party, and his legacy was continued by his successors.
