Bill Clinton was the 42nd President of the United States, serving from 1993 to 2001.
He was born William Jefferson Blythe III in Hope, Arkansas in 1946.
In 1975, he became the Attorney General of Arkansas and married Hillary Rodham.
Clinton was elected Governor of Arkansas five times and served from 1979 to 1981 and 1983 to 1992.
During his two terms as President, Clinton focused on domestic policy, particularly healthcare reform and economic prosperity.
He signed the North American Free Trade Agreement, enacted the first balanced budget since 1969, and achieved a budget surplus in 1998.
He also signed the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy which allowed homosexuals to serve openly in the military.
