Liang Jianzhang was born in 1972 and is a Chinese entrepreneur best known for founding Ctrip.com, an online travel agency.
Liang graduated from Fudan University with a degree in computer science and started his career in product development at a software company in Hangzhou.
He then moved to the United States and worked as a software engineer at Microsoft in Redmond, Washington.
In 1999, he returned to China and founded Ctrip, the country’s largest online travel agency.
Under Liang’s leadership, Ctrip became the first Chinese company to be listed on the NASDAQ in 2003.
Liang has received numerous awards for his contributions to the technology industry, including the 2008 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
In addition to his role at Ctrip, Liang is also a venture capitalist and has founded several other startups.
