Liu Qiangdong is a Chinese entrepreneur born in 1974.
He is the founder and CEO of JD.com, one of China's largest e-commerce sites.
After graduating from the Renmin University of China in 1998, with a degree in sociology, he founded JD.com in 2004.
In 2005, JD.com became the first business to receive an official license to sell digital goods in China.
Liu has since grown JD.com into a multibillion-dollar business and is now listed on the Nasdaq exchange.
In 2012, he was listed as one of the "30 Most Influential People on the Internet" by Time magazine.
He is also a member of the Standing Committee of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce.
