Bernard Arnault was born in 1949 in France.
He is a French business magnate and the chairman and chief executive of the world’s largest luxury-goods company, LVMH.
He is the third-wealthiest person in the world, with a net worth of $107 billion.
He was a student of Economics at the École Polytechnique in Paris and also attended the École des Sciences Politiques.
In 1984, he acquired the Christian Dior Group and by 1989, he had bought out the entire company.
Through his acquisitions over the years, he has grown the luxury goods empire to include more than 70 brands, including Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, and Dom Perignon.
He has been awarded several honors, such as being named Chevalier of the Legion of Honor in France and Knight of the Order of the British Empire in the UK.
