Enzo Ferrari was a European entrepreneur born in 1898.

He was an automotive designer and racing driver who founded the Ferrari motor company.

He was an accomplished racing driver, winning several Grand Prix titles between 1919 and 1924.

In 1947 Ferrari founded the Scuderia Ferrari Grand Prix motor racing team.

The Ferrari motor company became a leader in the production of sports cars and luxury vehicles.

In 1988, Ferrari was awarded the Italian National Order of Merit for his outstanding contributions to the Italian economy.

He also received several honorary degrees in recognition of his business success.
