Richard Branson is a European entrepreneur and founder of the Virgin Group, born in 1950.

As of 2020, his Virgin Group has grown to include more than 400 companies in various industries.

He is well-known for his adventurous spirit and his philanthropic activities.

Branson left school at the age of 16 to start a magazine, Student.

He then launched a record label, Virgin Records, in the 1970s, and soon began to expand the Virgin brand.

In 1984, he founded the airline, Virgin Atlantic, which has flown more than 50 million passengers.

Branson was knighted in 1999 for his "services to entrepreneurship".
