Stelios Haji-Ioannou was born in 1967 in Athens, Greece.

He is a European Entrepreneur best known for founding the low-cost airline, easyJet.

He received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics in 1987.

After graduation, he began working in the family shipping business, becoming a partner in the company in 1992.

In 1995, Stelios founded easyGroup, the parent company of easyJet and many other businesses.

In 2000, he was made the first Honorary Fellow of the London School of Economics.

In 2004, Stelios was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire in recognition of his services to business.
