William Boeing was born in 1881 in Detroit, Michigan.

He attended Yale University, graduating in 1903 with a degree in engineering.

After completing his studies, Boeing moved to Seattle and became involved in the timber industry.

In 1916, Boeing founded the Pacific Aero Products Company which later became the Boeing Airplane Company.

He was a pioneer of the aviation industry, leading the development of a number of innovative aircraft designs including the first all-metal monoplane.

During World War II, Boeing’s company produced thousands of airplanes for the war effort, becoming one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world.

After the war, Boeing’s company continued to be a leader in the aerospace industry and developed the first successful commercial jet airliner.
