Between 1000 BC and 600 BC, the Iron Age in India saw the emergence of powerful kingdoms and empires throughout the subcontinent.
Iron tools and weapons began to appear in India around 1200 BC, leading to the development of more advanced agricultural techniques and the growth of more complex societies.
