The Third Anglo-Mysore War was fought between the Kingdom of Mysore and the East India Company from 1789 to 1792.
The war was fought between the forces of Tipu Sultan of Mysore and the British East India Company.
The war was caused due to Tipu Sultan's refusal to accept the terms of the Subsidiary Alliance imposed by the Company.
The British forces were led by Lord Cornwallis and the Mysore forces were led by Tipu Sultan.
The war resulted in a decisive victory for the British and the fall of Tipu Sultan.
The Treaty of Seringapatam was signed after the war whereby the British gained control of most of the territories of Mysore.
The war had a major impact on the political and economic situation in India, paving the way for more British control over India.
