Karsanbhai Patel is an Indian entrepreneur who was born in 1945.

He is mostly known as the founder of Nirma, a successful Indian consumer goods company.

His success came from his revolutionary idea of using modern technology to make quality products at a lower cost.

He started the company in 1969 with only a few thousand rupees.

By 1990, Nirma had become a household name in India and had a turnover of Rs. 500 crore.

Patel has been recognised for his achievements, including being awarded the Padma Shri in 2010.

He is also the founder of Nirma University, a research institution in Ahmedabad.
