P.R. Ramasubrahmaneya Rajha, born in 1930, was an Indian entrepreneur and the founder of the Ramco Group.
He started his career as a clerk at a government-owned spinning mill in Coimbatore.
He eventually built the Ramco Group into one of India's leading conglomerates, with interests in cement, chemicals, textiles, software, and other industries.
In 1981, he established Ramco Industries, the flagship company of the Ramco Group, to manufacture cement.
He was also involved in philanthropic activities and established the Ramco Institute of Technology in 1985.
He received numerous awards and accolades, including the Padma Bhushan in 1992 and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Confederation of Indian Industry in 2005.
He passed away in 2011, leaving behind a legacy of business and philanthropy.
