Shiv Nadar is an Indian Entrepreneur and Founder of HCL Technologies, born in 1945.

He was born in an agricultural family in Tamil Nadu and studied electrical and electronics engineering.

In 1976, Nadar founded HCL Technologies with a vision to provide world-class technology solutions.

From a small start-up, HCL Technologies has grown to become a multi-billion dollar global IT enterprise.

Nadar was among the first to recognize the potential of the Indian IT industry and the role it can play in global markets.

He has won numerous awards, including the Padma Bhushan from the Indian government in 2008.

Nadar is a philanthropist and his foundation, the Shiv Nadar Foundation, supports education and the arts.
