He is the founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises, one of India’s largest conglomerates.

He is one of the most influential businessmen in India and is listed as the 23rd richest person in India according to Forbes.

In 1994, Mittal founded Bharti Airtel, India’s largest telecommunications company.

His company also has interests in retail, financial services, real estate, manufacturing, and agriculture.

In 2006, Mittal was awarded the Padma Bhushan, one of India’s highest civilian honors.

He has also won numerous awards for his business acumen, including the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2004.
