Tulsi Tanti is an Indian entrepreneur and the founder of Suzlon Energy, a leading renewable energy company. He was born in 1958.

In 1995, Tanti founded Suzlon Energy and began developing wind turbines for the Indian market.

By 2005, Suzlon Energy had become the world’s fifth largest wind turbine maker.

Tanti was instrumental in Suzlon Energy’s success, and the company has since become a major player in the Indian renewable energy market.

In 2008, Tanti was awarded the Padma Shri, one of India’s highest civilian awards.

Tanti is also an active philanthropist, and has been involved in numerous charity projects throughout India.

In 2012, Tanti was listed in Forbes magazine’s “India’s Richest People” list.
