Dampa Tiger Reserve is the largest wildlife sanctuary in Mizoram and was established in 1994.
It covers an area of around 550 sq km and is home to a wide variety of animals such as tigers, leopards, wild boars, barking deers and more.
The best time to visit is from October to March as the weather remains pleasant.
The reserve is known for its beautiful lakes, waterfalls and hills.
It also has various ancient ruins and temples which are quite interesting to explore.
The reserve is also home to various species of birds such as hornbills, wildfowl, white-bellied heron and more.
Tourists can explore the reserve on foot or take a jeep safari to get a closer look at the animals.
