Mudumalai National Park is located in the state of Tamil Nadu and was established in 1940.

It is home to an abundance of wildlife including elephants, tigers, leopards and several species of deer.

The park is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and is surrounded by the Nilgiri Hills.

It is a popular destination for bird watching with more than 270 species of birds, including the critically endangered Indian White-rumped Vulture.

The best time to visit the park is from October to June when the weather is cooler and the animals are more active.

Mudumalai National Park is also home to the Anaimalai Tiger Reserve, which is India's second-largest tiger reserve.
