Frank Lloyd Wright (born in 1867) was a renowned American architect, interior designer, writer and educator.

He was a leader in American architecture, designing over 1,000 structures, including the iconic Fallingwater and the Guggenheim Museum.

He developed what is now known as the Prairie style of architecture, characterized by horizontal lines, flat roofs, and an emphasis on blending buildings with the surrounding environment.

In 1909, he established the Taliesin Fellowship, an architectural school that continues to train students in Wright's philosophy of organic architecture.

He wrote several books, including An Autobiography, An Organic Architecture, and The Natural House.

He was the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the Gold Medal from the American Institute of Architects in 1949.

He was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 1972 and was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009.
