US National Monument: Natural Bridges National Monument - Utah (1908)

Natural Bridges National Monument in Utah is a stunning display of three natural bridges carved by the meandering waters of White Canyon.

The most famous of these is the Owachomo Bridge, which stands at a height of 290 feet and a span of 306 feet.

The park also contains a variety of other geological features such as hoodoos, spires, and balanced rocks, making it a great spot for photography and sightseeing.

The Monument is open year-round, but the best time for viewing is during the cooler months of the year when temperatures are more moderate.

The Monument also offers plenty of hiking and backpacking opportunities, with trails ranging from easy to moderate in difficulty.

In 1908, President Theodore Roosevelt declared Natural Bridges the first National Monument in Utah.

The Monument is also home to a variety of wildlife, including the endangered desert tortoise and the rare California condor.
