What are various layers in the atmosphere? Why do we need them?

Troposphere: This is the lowest layer and it's where most of the weather takes place. It contains most of the gases in the atmosphere and absorbs most of the sun's energy.

Stratosphere: This layer is located directly above the troposphere and contains ozone which absorbs most of the sun's ultraviolet rays.

Mesosphere: This layer is located above the stratosphere and contains very little oxygen or water vapor. It is the coldest layer of the atmosphere and contains meteoroids.

Thermosphere: This layer is located above the mesosphere and is the hottest layer of the atmosphere. It is home to the auroras and contains charged particles.

Exosphere: This is the outermost layer of the atmosphere and contains mainly hydrogen and helium.

Ionosphere: This layer is located above the exosphere and contains more charged particles. These charged particles can create different types of radiation and affect the transmission of radio waves.

Magnetosphere: This is the layer of space that is affected by the Earth's magnetic field. It protects the Earth from solar winds and other cosmic radiation.
